One of Kastoli’s most respected figures is Late Ayodhya Prasad Singh (MLA, 1985–1990, Bachhwara Legislative Assembly). A visionary leader and philanthropist, he donated vast portions of his land to establish educational institutions across the district. In an era when education was largely limited to the affluent, his mission was to ensure that children from underprivileged and marginalized families had equal access to learning opportunities. The schools founded on his donated lands continue to serve as prominent government schools today — a living testimony to his enduring legacy.

Another inspiring figure from Kastoli is Sri Ram Janam Singh, the village’s first graduate, who dedicated his life to the upliftment of society through education. As a high school teacher, he actively encouraged villagers to educate their daughters and promoted gender equality in learning. His relentless efforts towards societal progress laid a strong foundation for future generations. He is also the proud father of the founders of Lakshmi Computer Press, a leading business enterprise in the region.
